What Happens After You Request an App in the Console or Canvas Marketplace?

Some types of Marketplace applications can be added immediately. These applications will have an “Add now” icon. When you click this icon you will have an opportunity to review the application’s terms of service, privacy policy, Business Associate Agreement (if applicable), and EHR permissions. Once you agree:

  • The app will be automatically added
  • The Console user adding the application will be prompted to select which users will have access to the application.
  • Once you’ve added the application to the users in the Canvas™ or Console Marketplace, your Vim Connect user(s) will receive a notification the next time they login to the EHR letting them know the application is installed and is ready to use.

Some types of Marketplace applications require an organization level subscription, which includes a quick approval step. These applications have a “request to add” icon in both the Canvas™ and Console Marketplace. When you click this icon you will have an opportunity to review the application’s terms of service, privacy policy, Business Associate Agreement (if applicable), and EHR permissions.

If you want to proceed with the request then click on “Send request” to authorize Vim to share your contact information with the app developer.

  • This enables a direct conversation about subscription terms and does not commit you to enabling the app.
  • Practice name, TIN, address, and champion contact information will be shared with the app developer. You will also have the ability to add a note to the developer if you’d like.
After you submit your request, you’ll receive an email from Vim introducing you to the app developer and sharing the details from your request. The app developer will then follow up with you directly to discuss a potential subscription.

Subscription Billing:

  • Subscription pricing and billing are handled directly between you and the developer. Vim does not facilitate payments or manage billing questions.
  • You can also proactively reach out to the app developer using the support or network contact links available on the app’s listing page.
Please note, If you are already contracted with the application developer then be sure to note it in the free text field that you are already their customer.

FAQs

Q: Can I request multiple applications?
A: Yes — you can add and request as many applications as you’d like in the Canvas™ and Console Marketplace.

Q: How do I know which apps are currently live for my organization?
A: You can see all applications that are live for your organization by clicking on the organization tab on the side menu in Console.

Q: Who do I contact if I have questions or issues with the Console Marketplace?
A: Contact your Vim representative, or email support@getvim.com.

Q: What’s the difference between individual and organization-wide app subscriptions?
A: While access is managed through Vim, all billing and subscriptions are handled directly with the third-party application.

Some apps are completely free, while others offer free trials or require payment. Paid subscriptions may be managed at the individual or organization level, depending on the app’s setup.

Please note, Vim is not responsible for any applicable fees associated with the application, and doesn't facilitate payments.

Some tools provide individual licenses, while others require an organization-wide agreement.
Please coordinate directly with the third-party application for specific subscription and billing details.
