Managing Marketplace Access in Console

As a Console Account Owner or Admin, you can manage access to Vim’s Marketplace at any time in Vim’s Console by clicking on Update Advanced Settings under the My Account tab in the top left corner of the screen. 

Managing Vim Connect End User Access to Vim's Marketplace in the EHR

  • In Advanced Settings, scroll until you see the Vim Connect™ Marketplace setting. This setting will automatically default to “on”, allowing end users to explore and add or request to add new applications from the Vim Connect Marketplace, through their EHR.
  • There are two distribution settings for the Connect™ Marketplace:
    • The users directly add applications option allows all Vim Connect end users to browse and directly add applications from the marketplace and to accept such applications’ terms of service, privacy policy, and BAA.
    • The users request to add applications option allows all Vim Connect end users to request applications from the marketplace, which launches a review and approval process for your Console Account Owners and Admins. Once approved, users can access the requested app.
  • Simply toggle the Connect™ Marketplace setting off to restrict Marketplace access for all Vim Connect end users in the EHR, such that users can only view the applications that have already been installed on the user level.

Managing Vim Console Admin Access to Vim's Console Marketplace

  • The Vim Console Marketplace setting will also automatically default to “on” under the Advanced Settings in Console.
  • When on, Vim Console Admin users can explore and add or request to add new applications from the Applications button in the left side menu of Console.
  • When off, Vim Console users can only view the applications that are already installed at the account/organization(s) level.

Always be sure to click “Save & Continue” after updating your organization’s marketplace settings in Console. 

Remember, Vim is not responsible for application billing and does not facilitate payments for the applications added in the marketplace. You will work directly with the application developer regarding all billing and payment related questions if there is a cost associated with the application.
