Overview of Vim Console
Learn how Console Admins and Owners use Vim Console to manage users, configure access, and enable advanced settings.
What is Vim Console?
Vim Console is the admin portal for managing your organization’s use of Vim Connect. Only Console Admins and Owners have access. From here, you can manage users, configure application access, and streamline workflows with advanced settings.
What you can do in Vim Console
As a Console Admin or Owner, you can:
- Add or remove Vim Connect users across your organization
- Activate pending users who have installed Vim Connect but aren't yet enabled
- Assign application access and update user roles
- Configure advanced settings to support login automation and data exchange
Managing Vim Connect Users
The Vim Connect Users section lets you view and manage all active users in your organization:
-
View user roles and current application access
-
Add new users manually
-
Grant or remove access to Vim applications
Activating Potential Users
The Potential Users section shows users who have installed Vim Connect but haven’t been activated. These users must be manually created and activated before they can use Vim.

-
Ensure all users are properly configured and ready to access Vim tools
Advanced Settings
The Advanced Settings section lets you automate user access and enable data integration:
-
Automated User Verification – Supports seamless login (where enabled)
-
User Auto-Creation – Automatically adds users who install Vim Connect
-
Clinical Data Exchange (CDE) – Enables automatic retrieval of signed progress notes upon request from payers or their representatives
